Celebrate with Baubles

I've done another Christmas card for this week's theme - I've now made a grand total of 9 this year!! Whoo me! I've played some more with the gorgeous baubles:

I've painted some of the baubles from the ~{Bag of Baubles,Small}~ with white acrylic paint then clear embossed some stamp designs. Then I've inked the baubles, let it soak in for a while and then wiped it from the embossing. If you use this method to decorate them, you will need dark ink as the white paint soaks it up!

Again, as usual for me lately, it's another quick and easy make, finished off with some wired tinsel and a greeting.

This makes me happy mini album: Celebrate week

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and this  is our Celebrate week. So here is my celebration: my dear grandson's 2 years old celebration mini album. I didn't use a lot of embellishments here, so the only one used were those Tando cupcakes and they were added to fit the photo rubber cupcake.

I covered those bare chipboards with fancy puffy paints and a lot of glitter and they look pretty much real.

Don't you just want to take a bit?
Just one more page with my adorable grandson Omer.

And those delicious chipboards from Tando Creative

Celebrate - Colorful Party Invitation Set

Hi Tando fans! Dana here with you today sharing a colorful party invitation set. With the holiday season fast approaching, I've been thinking a lot about dinner parties, new recipes and spending time with family and friends. I also thought it would be fun to make my own fun and funky party invitation set. I selected a nice palette of bright embossing powders for a fresh Warhol-esque design.

I started by embossing a stamped image in four different colors on pieces of white cardstock measuring 3 x 3.5 inches, which is slightly larger than the stamp. I then cut each image into four equal pieces and rearranged them to create four colorful portraits. I mounted each portrait onto a piece of colored cardstock. I finished the invitation set by adding a Small Speech Bubble, that I stamped rsvp onto, to each card. There is plenty of room for the party details on the back of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Let's Celebrate: Mini-albums Cupcake for birthday

Hi all !! You must be very busy now with your Christmas cards and other festive makes... Hope you can still look at our daily posts anyway, as we have always a lot of inspiring projects to show you ! And till up to the day of St Nicholas !!
For this "Let's Celebrate" week, I show you at laaaaaaaaast........ part of the decorations I have made to celebrate my 6 years-old twins birthday...hem... it was two months ago... already !!... Time goes by so quickly haha ! You will see the rest of them and the whole project in a few days... That's a surprise... you just have to wait a little hee hee, hope you will not be disappointed !

I used sweet Tando's Cupcake chipboards to do the front cover of each one. They come in a small pack of three really adorable cupcake shapes... They also exist in a larger size pack but I didn't have it, otherwise I think I would have used this one. Pages inside are drew and cut following the original cover shape, using either scraps of patterned papers or recycling cardboard. I assembled the two minis and used a Crop-a-dile to make holes, it was easy to punch through the chipboard also even if it is sturdy material.
To decorate my albums I used mainly the set of stamps "Hello Cupcake" from Crafty Individuals (CI 374), love these funny stamps designed by Alice Palace. I have succeeded in combining them with Tando's cupcakes and I'm rather happy with the result!

For the rest, I used shrink plastic to stamp the same cupcakes and create tiny embellishments... also added beads, twin, and wire, used my favourite Fresco Finish paints and my Brilliance inks for colouring.... Put some accents with tone on tone markers... A bit of iridescent embossing powders for a sparkling touch at last... Nothing but happiness !! :D

And here are just a few pages... they both include around 5 pages decorated on each side.

I used:
Cupcake Set Small

A Skinner Stencil/Mask - Children

If you want to see all the photos, pop over on my blog too.  Have a wonderful and creative week, see you soon for my next project! Hugs, Coco xx

Anything Goes - Noticeboard

I love that you can add layer upon layer of ink and paint onto Tando chipboard and it was really fun playing with this on a larger scale.  My To Do list was made using this kit:

I have saved the days of the week and chipboard squares for another project.

I started by covering my backing sheet of chipboard in dictionary paper, and then gesso, then lots of different mist, a mixture of some reds, greens, blues and a little black in there too.  I painted the frame in  white gesso, and then used embossing powder and a grid stamp, randomly around the edge to add some texture.  I then added some layers of my favourite colour cosmic shimmer mists - rubbing some of the misting away from the embossing so you get a white stamp pattern.  I also added some stamping in brown distress ink around the piece too.  I used some Tando cogs, not part of the kit, which I embossed in silver, and created little clusters of cogs and flowers at the corners of the board and added some mist to them so they blended in with my colour scheme.  I then went to work using similar techniques on the title and I wrapped some wire and bakers twine around the edge. I punched holes for the string on each side of the board before sticking the frame to the back - I used bulldog clips to hold it together.  The last steps were some pegs and little butterflies.

The story of the day (l'histoire du jour)...

Hellooooo Tando's fans ! I (Coco) have something to share with you for our Free For All week. Such "Anything goes" theme is always perfect to show cute - or not cute sometimes ! - projects we have in reserve that are not fitting to any particular theme. Today is one of such cute projects... Hope you will like it as much as me. It's a mini album I created a few weeks ago for my goddaughter, who celebrated her seven years this month. She wanted something with pastel colours - she told me ALL the colours she love, I think I didn't forget any of them haha ! -, and I had in mind to do a small album similar to a previous one made for my eldest daughter a few months ago (also visible on my blog if you are interested to compare both and/or get all the details and materials I used)

This is a mini book in oval done from scratch on watercolour paper and covered with two oval Stampbords, and once open you can read a short story in it. I decorated it on every side. I used Distress inks and Perfect Pearls, a lot of Stampotique stamps mainly designed by Maryse Carrier, and no less than 4 beautiful Tando stencils...! The sentiments are from a Dyan Reaveley's collection.
Here is the front cover, closed with the right side ribbon. You can admire the effect of Kaz's "Dotted Star" that frames my the little girl.. This stencil/mask is great, it can really be used in many different ways !!

I didn't have any Tando's sturdy oval chipboard, so instead I used as covers two Stampbord ovals I had for ages in my stash. Stampbord has an incredibly smooth texture to work with inks especially, this is a great material but much more expensive that plain chipboard !! Some Tando large chipboard pieces can easily replace it. My small girl with flowers was watercolored with distress inks and covered with glossy accents... Love this bright finishing texture !
Here are some images of the four first panels inside, you can see all my Tandos stencils on the background.

A photo of the mini-book unfolded on the first side:

and now, the reverse-side panels and back cover. On the back I put two photos of my goddaughter, alone and with her cousins !... Cute kids, at least on the photo haha !! :-) At the end I coloured using the same set of distress inks some basic wooden beads, and when dry I tied them to some of my ribbons.

I used the following Tando masks/stencils:
A Skinner Stencil/Mask - Burning Rubber

Mask - Dotted Star

Leaves Mask set of 2
A Skinner Stencil/Mask - Baroque

Well, what do you think of it ? Would be interested to know your opinion, as I really enjoy creating such whimsical little scenes... Anyway my goddaughter was glad with it upon reception, she said she LOVES it !! That's the best reward for the time spent on such make, isn't it ?...

Have a lovely and creative week-end, feel free to pop over at my blog here if you want further details on this project and have still enough time, as Christmas is now around the corner and everyone very busy ! But don't forget to come back tomorrow if you want to see a last beautiful "Free for all" make for you, by my teammie Katherine.... HUGS Coco xxx

Free for all: Home Swert Home deco

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and this time I want to show you how to use Tando square Printers tray over the altered Fall piece.
I just love those trays! They are so versatile and  fit almost every possible projects.
So this is my house shaped altere piece, all stamped with IBS stamps and this Tando tray is my house window.
It was covered with Ranger crackle red paint and then I also added a round small attic window using Tando Scalloped circle piece, this time painted with Ranger green crackle paint.

Everything else are just stamped and hand cut images and some stickers to make the title.
I hope you like those trays as much as I do and will use them on your  houses and home projects.
See you soon again!

Free for All - ADVENT CALENDAR

Every year I seem to make an Advent Calendar up.  They are all different and somehow I don't think my build up to Christmas would be the same without them hahaha!  This year Tando Creative have brought out a new 3D one which looks like a house ;-D  I like that idea!!!  Of course you could decorate it completely differently and use it for trinkets or stash!!!  Please forgive the photo's, its so difficult to get all the sparkle on camera...I either lose the sparkle to get the true colours (which are darker than you can see) or have sparkle!!!  Use your imagination...

The house comes flat packed and is very easy to put together.  Most of it just slots into place.  The roof and the end pieces are the only pieces to glue on.   On the other side are the remaining drawers for the rest of the month.  I used acrylic paints and on the 'outsides' I have used 2 masks with dimensional paste before adding a top coat using all the colours to match the drawers.  Some Stickles and Treasure Silver makes the whole thing sparkle.  I also added some Tando snowflakes to the roof and sides that I added Stickles to.

The roof looking down...

and the sides...

If you decide to make one do please email us with a picture as we would LOVE to see it.  Take care, Karen xxx

Quick and easy Brush Stroke Trees

For our Free for All week, I'm showing some quick and easy Christmas cards. As in my last post, I don't take the time it takes for the Glossy Accents to dry into account!!

I have used the largest sizes from the ~{Mini Brush Stroke Trees}~ and painted them with Fresco paints. Once dry, I've added a thin layer of Glossy Accents and sprinkled glitter on top.

Once this was dry, I've attached them onto a torn strip of washi tape and added the greeting.

I then went on to make some tags using all sizes of the trees.

Quick ,simple, inexpensive and perfect for batch producing to get those cards made!

Paint Effects ~ Crackled Baubles

I'm the last one to show paint effects for this week's theme and I've gone for crackle effect baubles:

I took 3 of the baubles from the ~{Small Baubles Bag}~ (these are also available in a larger size and in the Mini Range) and painted them with Fresco paint. Once dry I added a very thin layer of Paperartsy Crackle and when dry, another layer of Fresco paint. It gave me some really tiny crackles which I love.

I inked up the edges of the baubles then put a tiny amount of Glossy Accents on them before adding some contrasting glitter. I've attached some snowflake charms with Glossy Accents and filled the centres with it and glitter before finishing off with doodles and a greeting.

Nice and simple and best of all, quick. I call it quick if I can do something and leave it, so I don't class waiting for the GA to dry as time!!!! ;)

The Magic of Childhood

Hello !! It's my turn to illustrate the Paints theme, and I'm really happy with it since I'm quite in the mood of painting those last times, maybe you've noticed it...  I chose to add different layers of paints to a layout, using several techniques. I did a kinda snowy scrapbook page with my two twin girls playing to little games during our last Christmas holidays. A good way to show how we can introduce paints effects over scrapbook layouts too, giving a beautiful texture to it !
For purpose, I created a lot of painted embellishments: my layered flowers are made from scraps of patterned papers roughly covered with various acrylic paints (I used PA Fresco Finish paints either opaque or translucent, but you can use any type of paint); I also applied two coats of paint (using sometimes two close shades of colour) on following Tando's chipboards: three mini's balloons, one small flourish 7, and one Karen's Arch with 4 hearts from the pack of four. LOVE all Karen's arches...they are really versatile, and so lovely !!! I transformed mine into a red door opening onto the city of  "Dream"...  You probably don't understand the words stamped in French inside the door and all over my page, so here is the translation in English: 'Dream', 'Childhood', 'Memories', 'Magic', 'Smiles'...and 'Together' of course Lol !

Some of my background papers are patterned ones (from a French collection of the brand so-called Papiers de Pandore) and some others are just pieces of Bazzil I painted in cream or red then gessoed a bit to smooth the colours, and after dry, stamped using some leftovers of paint and French text stamps - often masked to select the appropriate words only -. I also spritzed white paint (PA snowflake diluted with water) directly on my background here and there, and added some thicker drops as a final touch in the bottom left side to enforce the impression of snow falling outside on the city in the distance... Well.. many details on it at several places, hope you don't find it a bit too confused and like it a little ! :)

Here are close-ups on my painted embellishments:

I used:

Flourish 7 Small

I wish you a very creative week-end !! See you soon. Hugs, Coco xx
